Quick answer: A systematic investment plan (SIP) invests a fixed amount every month. A step-up raises that amount annually, usually in line with income — the single biggest lever after time.

How to use the Monthly Investment (SIP) Calculator

  1. Enter your figures in the fields above — results update instantly as you type.
  2. Choose your currency symbol (the maths is the same in any currency).
  3. Use Share result to save a link that reloads your exact inputs, or Print for your records.
  4. Compare scenarios by changing one input at a time and noting how the main result moves.

Formula

Each month: Balance = Balance × (1 + m) + Contribution m = (1 + annual rate)^(1/12) − 1; contribution rises by the step-up % each year

Worked example

500 a month at 10% for 20 years with a 5% annual step-up invests about 198,000 and can grow to roughly 511,000 under constant returns.
