Quick answer: Knowing the value per lead turns marketing into arithmetic: any channel that delivers leads below that value (after margin) is worth scaling.

How to use the Lead Value & Cost Calculator

  1. Enter your figures in the fields above — results update instantly as you type.
  2. Choose your currency symbol (the maths is the same in any currency).
  3. Use Share result to save a link that reloads your exact inputs, or Print for your records.
  4. Compare scenarios by changing one input at a time and noting how the main result moves.

Formula

Value per lead = Close rate × Deal value Return = (Revenue − Lead cost) ÷ Lead cost

Worked example

15% close rate on a 1,200 deal makes each lead worth 180. Buying 80 leads at 25 costs 2,000 and returns about 14,400 in revenue.

Frequently asked questions

Revenue or profit?

For a strict ceiling on cost per lead, use gross profit per deal instead of revenue.

How do I raise close rate?

Faster response times and qualifying questions in your form lift close rates more than anything else.
